FITCH ASSIGNS HIGHEST RATE TO YAPI KREDİ INVEST

International credit rating agency Fitch Ratings assigns Yapı Kredi Yatırım (YKInvest) AAA (tur), the highest national rating. This is the first time Fitch Ratings has rated the leading securities and capital markets institution in Turkey.

In a recent statement on the factors that contributed to the rating, General Manager of YK Invest Gülsevin Çipli referred to the integration of the organization as a subsidiary to Yapı Kredi, one of the largest banks in Turkey:

"We at YK Invest offer a wide range of services including domestic sales, derivative instruments, corporate sales, international markets, research and capital markets consultancy. We draw a lot of strength from our strong bond with Yapı Kredi, which allows us to reach the entire country thanks to its wide branch network. We will continue to work at the same level of dedication to sustain our success and manifest how robust our decisions are."

Çipli pointed out to the well-established and widespread distribution network as well as the strong financial structure of YK Invest as decisive elements in the Fitch rating. Her statement was as follows: "YK Invest is one of the biggest intermediary firms in Turkey with a total asset size of TL 3.4 billion. As of the first half of 2015, our equity amounts to TL 457 million, the highest singular level in the industry."
